An inquest has opened into the death of Isaac Clare-Watts, 26, whose body was found near the Nine Ladies Stone Circle in the Peak District after a summer solstice gathering. The hearing is a formal step in establishing how he died, while separate criminal proceedings concerning the death continue.

Mr Clare-Watts, from Nottingham, was found at about 1.38pm on 22 June in Stanton Lees. Coroner Susan Evans told Chesterfield Coroner’s Court that she was awaiting post-mortem findings to confirm the cause of death. Szymon Babynko, 23, of London, has been charged with murder and separately accused of attempted murder over an incident in Chesterfield; the allegations have not been proven.
