Producer and songwriter Leland has transformed his Studio City home into a creative retreat where artists write, record and collaborate. The studio’s relaxed, residential setting encourages conversations and ideas outside formal recording sessions, helping explain its importance as a hub for contemporary pop music.

Leland’s first session there was with MUNA in 2019, and the space has since hosted or supported work involving Troye Sivan, Charli xcx, Demi Lovato, Rebecca Black and Adéla. His routine includes preparing the studio with flowers, candles and music research, while a nearby cottage allows visiting artists to stay on the property; he has also written music for Hayes Warner’s upcoming soundtrack project.
