Inside the hunt for answers behind the $355million retail collapse that wiped out Millers, Katies and Noni B: Sealed evidence, 3,000 jobs lost and a former chairman ordered to disclose his global assets
Richard Facioni, former chairman of fashion retailer Mosaic Brands, has had a scheduled court examination postponed while liquidators investigate the company’s collapse. The inquiry is examining the retailer’s finances and the conduct of its former leaders, after the failure left thousands of workers without jobs and creditors facing substantial losses.
Mosaic, which ran brands including Millers, Katies and Noni B, collapsed in 2024 with reported debts of $249 million. By May 2026, creditor claims exceeded $355 million; liquidators said they had spent 606 hours reviewing records and declined to estimate possible director liabilities while legal action continues. Facioni and seven other former executives were ordered to disclose assets and liabilities worldwide, while disputes over documents and a safe harbour defence remain before the court.
