Veteran voice actor Robin Atkin Downes has confirmed on social media that he is joining the cast of Naughty Dog's upcoming sci-fi title Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, adding another familiar name to a project that has otherwise revealed little since its announcement. Downes is a prolific British performer known for roles across every Uncharted game and as Robert in The Last of Us, making his return a notable, if still mysterious, addition given the studio's tight-lipped approach to the game so far.

Downes shared a clip of himself in performance capture gear bearing a Naughty Dog patch, suggesting filming is currently under way and that the game remains some way from release. Intergalactic, first revealed at The Game Awards in 2024 after entering development in 2020, stars Tati Gabrielle and Tony Dalton alongside returning Naughty Dog collaborators Merle Dandridge and Troy Baker. It has been six years since Naughty Dog last released a game, a gap partly explained by work on the now-cancelled The Last of Us Online, with staff only moving onto Intergalactic after that project was shelved; no release date has been announced.
