Intocable, the Grammy- and Latin Grammy-winning norteño/tejano group led by singer Ricky Muñoz, has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as part of the Class of 2026, marking a milestone after more than three decades of hits and sold-out shows on both sides of the US-Mexico border. Speaking to Variety from the band's home studio in Texas, Muñoz reflected on the honour and the group's distinctive musical approach, which blends traditional instrumentation with unexpected influences drawn from American pop and rock.

Muñoz, who grew up in Zapata, Texas, recalled that his grandfather sold a cow to buy him his first accordion, though he never lived to see his grandson's success. The ceremony took place at 11:30am on 16 July and was streamed on walkoffame.com. In the interview, Muñoz explained how Intocable's songwriting draws inspiration from acts such as Flock of Seagulls and Bryan Adams rather than traditional norteño artists like Los Tigres del Norte, and described his self-taught, instinctive approach to crafting the band's distinctive accordion melodies, including a key tonal shift on their 2019 track "Por Alguien Más."
