Apple is paying $250 million to settle claims that it did not deliver the AI-enhanced Siri features consumers were led to expect. Eligible US customers can now seek compensation, making the settlement relevant to people who bought certain recent iPhones after Apple promoted the devices as being built for Apple Intelligence.

The claim covers US purchases of the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or any iPhone 16 model made between 10 June 2024 and 29 March 2025. Payouts are estimated at $25 per eligible device, potentially rising to $95 depending on the number of claims; applications require a name, contact details and serial number by 21 December 2026. Apple denies wrongdoing, while the lawsuit alleged that the promised Siri upgrade was delayed and initially absent from the iPhone 16 launch.
