Ipswich Town have agreed a fee with Strasbourg to sign Paraguay forward Julio Enciso, reuniting him with manager Gary O’Neil after they worked together in France last season. The proposed transfer would add further attacking depth as Ipswich prepare for their Premier League return, while bringing Enciso back to the club after his six-month loan from Brighton in 2025.

The 22-year-old’s fee has not been disclosed, but is expected to use a sizeable share of Ipswich’s remaining transfer budget and give Strasbourg a substantial profit on the £7.7m they paid last summer. Ipswich have already made 10 major signings, including £24m club-record arrival Emersonn, and begin their Premier League campaign at home to Sunderland on 22 August.
