Irish independent film “Lemonade”, starring Barry Keoghan, has released its first images and revealed plot details. The Dublin-shot drama marks documentary filmmaker Kim Bartley’s narrative feature debut and explores care, belonging and personal redemption, themes that closely reflect Keoghan’s own experience of growing up in foster care.

The film follows Danny, played by Lewis Brophy, after a mistake threatens his future and he reconnects with Josh, a social worker played by Keoghan who previously tried to help him. Also starring Carla Tous, Eileen Walsh and Imelda May, the low-budget feature was produced by Rachel Lysaght and Farah Abushwesha, supported by Screen Ireland, and co-produced by Underground Films and Rocliffe Productions.
