Animation Is Film will hold its ninth festival from 16–19 October in Hollywood, featuring films including “Tangles”, “Iron Boy” and “The Violinist”. The event will open with the world-first theatrical premiere of the first two episodes of Dana Terrace’s “Knights of Guinevere”, marking a first for the festival and highlighting its focus on prominent contemporary animation.

The competition and wider programme will include several international animated features, alongside studio presentations, retrospectives, filmmaker talks and works-in-progress. Highlights include previews of Disney’s “Hexed”, Paramount’s “Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender” and Matt Braly’s “Clara and the Below”; screenings will be based mainly at TCL Chinese 6 Theaters, with tickets already on sale.
