IRON MAIDEN Manager ROD SMALLWOOD: ‘We Keep Our Plans Strictly To Ourselves. We Let The Fans Know When It’s Definite.’

Blabbermouth ·

Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood says the band keeps future plans private and will tell fans once decisions are definite. His comments come as the group’s 50th anniversary “Run For Your Lives” tour continues, with another North American leg announced for 2027.

Smallwood said he has managed Iron Maiden since 1979 and described former drummer Nicko McBrain, who retired in December 2024 after a stroke, as active and in good shape. The 2027 leg is set to include 16 spring shows and finish with headline appearances at Sonic Temple and Boardwalk Rock; the band says these will be the tour’s final dates, bringing its total to 107 concerts across 36 countries and more than three million fans.
