Isabelle Fuhrman Set For Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Heartache’

Isabelle Fuhrman will lead *Heartache*, a science-fiction thriller about a near-future society where heartbreak is lethal. The film follows a woman seeking love as her pursuit of intimacy becomes entangled with obsession and control.

The film is shooting in Massachusetts and marks the feature debut of filmmaker Beth Fletcher, whose earlier work has featured at TIFF, RiverRun and MoMA. Mark Ashin wrote the screenplay and is producing with Page 8 Pictures, alongside Sionne Elise, Dylan Matlock and JP Ouellette of Circa 1888; Fuhrman is also an executive producer. She is next due to appear in Netflix’s *The 99ers*, scheduled for 2027.
