Seventeen-year-old Leeds United striker Harry Gray has discussed the responsibility of joining Sheffield Wednesday on loan, where he is expected to gain regular senior experience. The move matters because Gray is regarded as a promising young forward, while his family’s deep Leeds connections mean his development has attracted particular attention.

Gray previously spent time on loan at Rotherham United, making 22 appearances and scoring five goals, after earlier breaking into Leeds’ first team at 16. He is the son of former Leeds player Andy Gray, brother of Tottenham’s Archie Gray, grandson of Frank Gray and great-nephew of club great Eddie Gray, making him the fifth member of the family to play for Leeds.
