‘It Would Take a Lot to Say No to Australia’: Foo Fighters Kick-Off Tour Down Under With Three-Hours of Power
The Foo Fighters opened their Take Cover Australian tour with a three-hour stadium performance in Brisbane, reflecting the band’s unusually frequent returns to the country. Dave Grohl said he was grateful to still be touring there after 30 years, adding that it would take a lot to turn down Australia.
The band played 26 songs, starting at 7.30pm and finishing at 10.30pm, with a first 10 songs heavy on hits including “All My Life”, “The Pretender” and “Times Like These”. Brisbane is one of three Australian visits in a year: after earlier shows in Launceston and Geelong, the current tour continues through Adelaide before returning in January for a Perth finale.
