Former Prime Minister Keir Starmer was seen having a drink and chatting with friends outside Hampstead’s Spaniards Inn earlier this week. The sighting offers a glimpse of the Labour MP’s life after leaving No 10, following his resignation last June amid pressure from party members and poor poll ratings.
The Grade II listed pub dates from 1585 and is known for its historic visitors and reported celebrity clientele, including Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Liam Gallagher. Some of its most expensive beers and ciders cost £9. Starmer was also pictured at a Kentish Town pub with former Chancellor Rachel Reeves earlier this year.
