DC has confirmed that John Constantine, the occult detective who has been absent from the spotlight for several years, is returning as a playable character in DCKO, a newly announced free-to-play mobile fighting game. The game comes from developer Drop Fake in partnership with Warner Bros, and its reveal trailer places Constantine alongside major DC figures including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn, marking a high-profile comeback for the character.

DCKO is set to launch on iOS and Android in 2027, with pre-registration already open. It departs from traditional fighting game formats by using 2v2 tag-team combat, letting players swap characters mid-battle and chain combos, assists and dual-character Super Moves, alongside both real-time PvP and story-driven PvE modes. Drop Fake has also said further playable "Legends" will be added regularly after launch, and fighters can be customised with different Super Moves and upgradable abilities.
