BandLab Technologies has appointed Ivan Chen as CEO, effective 1 October, while co-founder Meng Ru Kuok moves from Chairman and CEO to Executive Chairman. The change gives Chen responsibility for day-to-day leadership, with Kuok focusing on long-term strategy, partnerships and investment priorities. Kuok said the shift would help the company respond to rapid change across music, technology, media and fandom.

Chen joined the company in 2016 as Group Chief Operating Officer and became President in 2024; he will also remain President of parent Caldecott Music Group, where Kuok continues as Group CEO. BandLab Technologies’ portfolio includes the BandLab music creation platform, Cakewalk, ReverbNation, Airbit and AI studio Aiode, acquired in July 2026.
