“I’ve entered a time in my life where I wanted to create something I could conduct and drive.” Clown from Slipknot launches new website and new side project O’ Day Monster, debuting with a single that’s light years removed from metal
Slipknot percussionist and co-founder M. Shawn Crahan, known as Clown, has launched a new side project called O’ Day Monster alongside a new personal website. The project’s debut single, ‘Un Life’, is accompanied by an AI-created video and is described as musically far removed from Slipknot’s metal sound, reflecting Crahan’s wish to create and direct something of his own.
Crahan, 56, said he wanted to make “the spaceship” he could drive with his words, though no further details about O’ Day Monster have been announced. His new portal, theclown.com, also links to his other work, including The Electric Theater podcast, previous side projects and his Slipknot No. 9 Iowa Whiskey brand.
