Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake is a faithful modern rebuild of the 1999 turn-based strategy favourite, retaining its familiar gameplay while replacing its visuals with a full 3D presentation. The hands-on preview suggests it succeeds at recapturing the original’s compelling exploration, town-building and tactical battles, though its sharper, more colourful look may divide long-standing fans.

The remake includes both original expansions, Armageddon’s Blade and The Shadow of Death, alongside 4K visuals, dynamic lighting, weather and changing seasons. It is planned for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles in 2027; its arrival follows the 2026 early-access release of the new series entry, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era.

  • Heroes III is being rebuilt in 3D while preserving its classic strategy gameplay.
  • The remake includes both original expansions and modern visual effects.
  • It is due in 2027 after Olden Era’s 2026 launch.
