J.K. Rowling’s “Secret” New Series Officially Confirms Release Date

The BBC has confirmed that *Strike* will return for a seventh series, *Strike: The Running Grave*, in December 2026. The five-part crime mystery continues the television adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s novels published under the name Robert Galbraith.

Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger reprise their roles as private detective Cormoran Strike and his partner Robin Ellacott. They are hired by Sir Colin and Sally Edensor to investigate a church they believe has drawn their estranged son Will into its influence and taken his trust fund; the series adapts the seventh novel, while an eighth book has been published and a ninth is in development.
