Jack White invited Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson on stage during a Chicago stop on his 2026 tour, where they performed Free’s lesser-known Seventies blues-rock song ‘I’m a Mover’. The surprise collaboration reinforced the tour’s reputation for unpredictable, guitar-driven performances and for drawing on rock music beyond White’s own catalogue.

White focused on guitar while Robinson handled vocals, and White later played Robert Johnson’s ‘Phonograph Blues’. The tour began on 10 July, coinciding with the release of White’s eighth solo album, Frozen Charlotte; it runs through the autumn, uses phone-free venues and will move to Europe in August.
