Jade Goody’s widower Jack Tweed is charged with drug-driving

Daily Mail · 3 hours ago

Jack Tweed, the widower of late Big Brother star Jade Goody, has been charged with drug-driving after allegedly testing three times over the legal limit for cannabis while at the wheel. The 39-year-old is accused of driving while impaired near Chelmsford, Essex, in December last year, and he is now due before magistrates to answer the charge.

Court records reportedly show Tweed faces one count of driving with a specified controlled drug above the legal limit, with a blood test allegedly showing 5.6 micrograms of THC per litre of blood, well above the 2-microgram limit. THC is the active component of cannabis, a Class B drug. He was arrested at the time and is scheduled to appear at Chelmsford magistrates' court on Monday.
