Jake Bugg has announced his seventh studio album, 'Alamo', due for release via Thirty Tigers on 13 November, alongside a country-tinged lead single, 'Never Can Tell', and a solo tour of the UK and Ireland in February 2027. The singer has described the record as his most vulnerable to date, saying it marks a deliberate shift towards introspection and honesty after a difficult couple of years, moving further into folk territory than his previous work.

The album was produced by Jimmy Hogarth, known for his work with Amy Winehouse and Paolo Nutini, and Steve McKewan, who has worked with Chris Stapleton and Eminem. Lead single 'Never Can Tell', which draws comparisons to Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, explores how friendships shift after achieving success. The stripped-back tour runs from 6 February at Manchester's Albert Hall to 26 February at London's Union Chapel, taking in Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Bristol among other stops; tickets go on general sale on 11 September, with pre-sale from 4 September. It follows his 2024 album 'A Modern Day Distraction', and comes ahead of a Nashville show on 18 September.
