James Cameron’s Avatar Franchise Gets a Massive New December Release
20th Century Studios is releasing a new Collector’s Edition 4K Blu-ray of James Cameron’s *Avatar: Fire and Ash* on 8 December. It adds more than six hours of previously unreleased material, giving fans a closer look at the filmmaking behind the latest film and the franchise’s ambitious visual effects.
The edition includes a two-part documentary about making the *Avatar* films, deleted and extended scenes, performance-capture demonstrations and scene breakdowns. It also features archival material, production artwork, the screenplay and awards-season panels. The March 4K Blu-ray release already had about three hours of extras, so the new set substantially expands the available behind-the-scenes content.
