Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition made a strong debut on Japan's physical sales charts, but fell short of dethroning Rhythm Heaven Groove, which held onto the top spot for another week. The Switch 2 edition of the FromSoftware title moved straight onto the podium in second place, in a chart otherwise packed with new entries, including Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 and Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster's Switch 2 debut. The figures, compiled by Famitsu, offer a snapshot of continuing strong momentum for Nintendo's hardware in Japan.

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition sold 27,604 copies on Switch 2 in its first week, while Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 landed in third, sixth and eighth place across PS5, Switch 2 and original Switch respectively, and Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster entered at seventh on Switch 2. On the hardware side, Switch 2 retained a commanding lead with roughly 22,000 units sold, ahead of the PS5 Digital Edition's 5,866; combined sales of Switch and Switch 2 hardware (8,847) also outpaced all PS5 models together (7,351).
