Japanese Charts: Rhythm Heaven Groove Maintains Its Solid Lead
Rhythm Heaven Groove remained Japan’s best-selling boxed game for the week of 13–19 July, selling 76,786 copies and extending its lead over several new releases. Its continued strength matters because it has now sold nearly 600,000 physical copies, while Nintendo’s Switch 2 also retained a commanding position in the hardware market.
The nearest new game, eBaseball: PRO SPIRIT 2026 for PlayStation 5, sold 20,661 copies, followed by Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream with 18,608. Kyoto Xanadu debuted with 15,431 copies on Switch and 13,206 on PS5, while Switch 2 sold 24,928 units for a lifetime total exceeding six million; the PS5 Digital Edition was second on 9,024 units.
