Jarvis Cocker has discussed Pulp’s new 90-minute film, *What Do You Do For An Encore?*, which documents the band’s sold-out London shows and their return to touring after releasing *More*, their first album in 24 years. He said performing the new material alongside Pulp’s classic songs created a sense of energy and “a new beginning”, showing that the older songs could still feel alive while connecting with a new generation.

Directed by Garth Jennings, the film includes narration from the band, archive footage and behind-the-scenes material, while tracing Pulp’s journey from obscurity to cultural prominence. Cocker also reflected on the band’s unusual history, including its 24 members over 48 years, saying personal relationships and shared chemistry mattered more than technical musicianship; he also discussed Candida Doyle’s arthritis, Steve Mackey’s legacy and the group’s uncertain future.
