The marriage, confirmed by her brother Ben Goldsmith, comes as her ex-husband remains seriously ill in a Pakistani prison, where she and their sons continue to campaign for his release. The union marks a significant personal milestone for the 52-year-old, who has been a prominent public figure since her first marriage and subsequent high-profile relationships.

Goldsmith, 52, and O'Reilly, 62, became engaged after a year-long romance that was first revealed in May, having reportedly met through his work as an executive producer on documentaries and films before their friendship turned romantic. O'Reilly, son of the late media magnate and rugby star Sir Anthony O'Reilly, has four children, while Goldsmith has two sons, Kasim and Sulaiman, with Imran Khan, whom she married in 1995 and divorced in 2004; Khan has been imprisoned since 2023 on corruption charges he denies. The wedding follows the death of Goldsmith's mother, socialite Lady Annabel Goldsmith, almost a year ago, and comes after Jemima's past relationships with Hugh Grant, Russell Brand and Peter Morgan.
