Jena Malone, Dermot Mulroney, Mekhi Phifer and Vannessa Vasquez will star as astronauts in the independent science-fiction film *Moon People*, directed by Stanley Yung. The film follows a lunar mission to verify the discovery of water, but the crew encounters danger and must fight to survive.

Written by Niko Foster, the film was shot in Lexington, Kentucky, with Malone playing Dr Jennifer Foster, Mulroney as Sam Foster, Phifer as Captain Josh Briley and Vasquez as Dr Diana Alvarez. It is produced by Al Bravo Films, with Al Bravo, Michael Pizzimenti and Tim Sabo producing, alongside executive and co-producers; Yung previously produced *Ethan Mao* and directed *Shadow Dancer*.
