Jennifer English Steps Away From Tides of Annihilation Role Due to Health Concerns

IGN · 4 hours ago

Jennifer English, the voice actress behind protagonist Gwendolyn in Eclipse Glow Games' upcoming title Tides of Annihilation, has stepped away from the role due to personal health reasons. The developer announced the change on 17 July 2026, more than a year after the game was first revealed at Sony's February 2025 State of Play, and said English will continue to support the project in an advisory capacity.

English informed the studio of her decision in early June, and helped identify a replacement performer alongside other cast members, though the new actor has not yet been named. Fans will hear her for the first time in the game's playable demo at Gamescom 2026 in August, with her voice also featuring in select official updates around that time. Tides of Annihilation is a single-player action-adventure set in a magic-ravaged modern-day London, drawing on Arthurian legend, and its release date remains unannounced.
