Jennifer Garner Teases a Major Change for Peacock’s ‘The Five-Star Weekend’ Season 2
Peacock has renewed The Five-Star Weekend for a second season after the drama became the service’s most-watched series, with more than 860 million minutes viewed. Jennifer Garner says her character, Hollis Shaw, will be less consumed by grief as the show moves beyond the events of Elin Hilderbrand’s novel.
Garner described Hollis as someone who hides her feelings from others and even from herself, and praised the cast for bringing unexpected emotion to scenes. She recalled being moved by D’Arcy Carden’s performance and said filming a tense scene with Gemma Chan briefly left the pair not speaking; the series’ first season had eight episodes.
