A new immersive touring exhibition celebrating the life and work of Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia is set to open in San Francisco in early 2027 before travelling to other US cities. The 40,000-square-foot experience, titled "Eyes of the World: The Jerry Garcia Experience", brings to life a concept Garcia began developing more than 30 years ago with author Ken Kesey and producer Cary Granat, and has now been completed by Granat alongside Garcia's daughter Keelin and wife Manasha.

Named after the 1973 Grateful Dead song, the exhibition spans eight immersive rooms covering Garcia's music, visual art, writings and personal interests, including a recreation of 1966 Golden Gate Park and the Haight-Ashbury neighbourhood, and evening performances by rotating Garcia tribute acts. After San Francisco, it is expected to visit Chicago, Nashville, New York and Los Angeles, though exact dates and ticketing have yet to be confirmed. Part of the proceeds will support arts education, music programmes and environmental conservation via the Jerry Garcia Foundation.
