Singer-songwriter Jess Williamson has released a new song, 'Tracking The Tropics', taken from her forthcoming album 'A Mile South Of Heaven', due out on 9th October. The album was produced with Shooter Jennings at Sunset Sound in Hollywood and continues Williamson's move into country and Americana, with its title reflecting a cautious optimism about accepting where one is rather than chasing unattainable goals.

The new single was inspired by a period of self-doubt and a longing to return to The White Horse, a honky-tonk bar in East Austin, Texas, where Williamson spent many weekends with friends in her twenties before moving away. She describes the track as being about escape and a yearning for simpler times and the people and places that make you feel truly known.
