Country-folk artist Jess Williamson has released a new single, "Tracking The Tropics", the latest preview of her forthcoming album A Mile South Of Heaven. It follows the previously shared lead single "Goodbye To All That" and continues the record's pedal steel-inflected sound, marking the latest step in the rollout for her upcoming release.

Williamson has said the song was written during a period when her confidence had taken a hit, expressing a longing to escape to a particular honky-tonk bar in East Austin, The White Horse, where she spent time with friends in her twenties before moving away. The accompanying music video was shot on Super 8 film by Jackie Lee Young. A Mile South Of Heaven is due for release on 9 October via New West.
