Jessica Rothe Officially Confirms Return Plans for Hit Time-Loop Thriller Trilogy

Jessica Rothe says she and director Christopher Landon have developed a story for a third Happy Death Day film, renewing interest in the time-loop slasher trilogy. The project has not yet moved forward, and Rothe says they are waiting for Universal to re-engage.

Rothe said she and Landon met in April to shape the third film, combining his original ideas with a direction they are both excited about. She hopes her new film River will perform well enough to encourage Universal to act; she also described being called a “scream queen” as an honour.
