New York Jets cornerback Qwan'tez Stiggers was taken to hospital by ambulance after briefly losing consciousness on the sidelines during a joint training session with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 24-year-old's collapse halted practice for more than ten minutes, prompting an immediate medical response, with head coach Aaron Glenn confirming he was conscious and talking before being carried off on a stretcher for further checks.

Glenn said Stiggers "fell out" after coming off following a play but was able to speak, and praised the Jets' medical staff for their response, adding he intended to visit the player in hospital. Several team-mates took a knee or formed a prayer circle as he received treatment, with running back Breece Hall describing the scene as "very sad, very emotional". The session had reportedly also featured several fights between the two teams. Stiggers, a fifth-round pick in 2024 who has made 35 tackles in 29 games, is set to face the Buccaneers again when the Jets host their pre-season opener on Friday.
