Dr Parmis Lamei Javan, a doctor at Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow, is facing a Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service misconduct hearing after posting inflammatory social media messages during the 2024 post-Southport riots. She claimed her NHS hospital would be "targeted and looted" by rioters, allegedly causing alarm to patients and the public. The General Medical Council alleges her comments were motivated by racial or religious hostility and that she subsequently made false claims about her treatment.

Following an investigation by London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, Dr Lamei Javan refused to cooperate but continued posting online. The GMC prosecutor stated she was never excluded from work—only placed on restricted practice before resigning in December 2024—and was not investigated for condemning Hamas but for her posts about hospital threats. In March 2025, she repeated claims on YouTube that she had been punished for calling Hamas an "Islamist death cult" and accused NHS staff of antisemitism and supporting Hamas, which the GMC contends are fabrications designed to bring the trust into disrepute.
