Korean-Japanese romantic comedy series "Merry Berry Love", starring Ji Chang-wook and Imada Mio, is set to launch on Disney+ and Hulu this October. The show is part of a growing slate of Asian original productions on the two streamers, reflecting the platforms' continued push to build out Korean and Japanese romance content for international audiences.

Set on a Japanese island, the series follows strawberry farmer Karin Shirahama (Imada Mio) and city-dweller Lee Yubin (Ji Chang-wook), whose fortunes have taken a turn for the worse, after an awkward first meeting and misunderstanding draw them together. It is co-directed by Kim Soojung and Noh Youngsub, written by Lee Jaeyoon, and produced by CJ ENM alongside Disney, with Nippon TV as co-producer. It joins existing Korean romance titles "Perfect Crown" and "Soundtrack #1" on the platforms, and will begin streaming on Disney+ and Hulu from 7 October.
