Joan Jett cancels series of shows following medical surgery to focus on “healing”

Rock legend Joan Jett has postponed performances in Costa Mesa and Louisville scheduled for September after undergoing surgery to treat a fractured vertebra from a recent injury. In consultation with her doctors, she determined that temporarily stepping back from touring would give her adequate time to complete physical therapy and recovery before returning to the stage.

Whilst the cancelled dates represent a disruption to her touring plans, Jett remains optimistic about her future concert prospects and continues with other projects, including an expanded anniversary edition of her signature 1979 album arriving later this month. Her July tour across the UK proceeded without incident, underscoring her intent to deliver high-quality performances once she has fully healed.
