Joe Perry Bows Out Of Tonight’s Hollywood Vampires’ Flick West Coast Debut As Aerosmith Ramps Up For Hollywood Bowl Gigs

Joe Perry has withdrawn from the Hollywood Vampires documentary’s West Coast premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival, saying Aerosmith rehearsals mean he cannot attend. His absence affects a sold-out screening that had advertised a live question-and-answer session with the director and band members.

Aerosmith are rehearsing for two Hollywood Bowl shows on 29 October and 1 November, their first performances together in three years. Perry recently completed a two-month European tour with the Hollywood Vampires, whose members include Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Tommy Henriksen; the band’s future plans remain unclear.
