A concert celebrating Australian music legend John Farnham's career, held at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on 20 September, will be broadcast live into cinemas across the country via HOYTS after tickets to the sold-out show sold rapidly. Producers Cochrane Entertainment and TEG Dainty struck the cinema deal to let fans nationwide share in the event, which raises funds for Head and Neck Cancer Australia and marks a rare public celebration of Farnham, who has made few appearances since major cancer surgery in 2022.

The show, titled The Songs Of John Farnham: A Living Legend – The Celebration, features 120 artists including Keith Urban, Jimmy Barnes, Tina Arena and Jessica Mauboy, with Celine Dion and Hugh Jackman appearing via satellite. Farnham personally invited every performer and holds a record 94 appearances at the 15,000-capacity arena, having played to over a million fans there; the event also coincides with the 40th anniversary of his multi-million-selling album Whispering Jack, home to his signature hit "You're The Voice".
