John Legend has released “Fireflies”, the second single from his forthcoming album Muse, produced entirely by Pharrell. Its cinematic video echoes the minimalist style of Legend’s “Ordinary People” visual, while the song explores turning life’s hardships into hope.

The track features Legend performing at a Yamaha piano alongside the Hollywood Cinematic Orchestra against a seamless white backdrop. Muse will contain 16 tracks, include an appearance by Clipse and arrive on 23 October through Republic Records; Legend’s planned Global Citizen Festival performance was cancelled because of severe weather.
