John Lydon Announces Photographic Memoir Marking 50th Anniversary of Sex Pistols
John Lydon has announced *Archive*, a photographic memoir marking 50 years since the Sex Pistols’ formation. The book will document his life in the band and his later work with Public Image Ltd., presenting personal photographs and memories as a record of his experiences rather than a celebration of nostalgia.
Due for release in November, *Archive* is available to pre-order in two editions. The signed Luxe edition contains a coffee-table book of more than 200 pages; the Superluxe edition adds a companion photo volume, a Public Image Ltd. live album and two portrait prints. The book also pays tribute to Lydon’s late wife Nora Forster and friend and manager John Rambo Stevens.

Explained simply
The Sex Pistols were a British punk band formed in 1975, with John Lydon as their singer. Their brief career helped bring punk into the wider public eye, and Lydon later led Public Image Ltd., a group that explored a different musical style.
A photographic memoir uses pictures and the author’s recollections to tell a life story. Lydon’s account covers both bands and includes tributes to his late wife, Nora Forster, and his friend and manager, John Rambo Stevens.
