Jonah Hauer-King Joins Season 2 of Rose Ayling-Ellis Drama ‘Code of Silence’ for ITV, BritBox

Filming has begun on the second season of "Code of Silence," the ITV and BritBox thriller starring deaf actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, with Jonah Hauer-King, Jo Joyner and John Hollingworth among several new cast additions. The series follows Alison Brooks, a deaf woman whose lip-reading ability draws her into police investigative work, and its return follows a well-received first season, underlining ITV and BritBox's continued investment in the show as a flagship crime drama.

The six-episode second season, again written by creator Catherine Moulton, sees Alison, now fully trained in forensic lip-reading, assist police in a surveillance operation targeting a money-laundering syndicate after a woman is arrested with hidden cash and later attacked. Returning cast include Andrew Buchan, John Bishop, Nathan Armarkwei Laryea and Fifi Garfield, while new arrivals Hauer-King, Joyner, Sophie McShera, Hollingworth, Sasha Desouza-Willock and Emily Head join the ensemble. Ayling-Ellis and Moulton both expressed enthusiasm about returning to the project, with the synopsis teasing that Alison's investigation puts her personal safety at risk as the case unravels.
