Jonas Brothers Podcast Coming to Disney+ and Hulu, Along With Five Other iHeartMedia Shows
Disney has signed a licensing deal with iHeartMedia to bring six podcasts to Disney+ and Hulu, headlined by "Hey Jonas!", the newly launched show from Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas. The move reflects a wider push by Disney's streaming platforms to court fans through video podcast content, tying releases closely to existing franchises and shows to drive engagement.
"Hey Jonas!" premieres on both platforms on 14 August, coinciding with the release of "Camp Rock 3" on Disney+, with further episodes filmed live at Disney's D23 fan event that weekend. The remaining shows heading to Hulu include video editions of "Pod Meets World", "Desperately Devoted" (from 2 November, tied to "Desperate Housewives" rewatches), "Fake Doctors, Real Friends With Zach and Donald" (linked to "Scrubs"), "StraightioLab" and "Thanks Dad With Ego Nwodim", all rolling out over the coming months with weekly episodes. iHeartMedia, whose podcasts also stream on Netflix, said the deal extends the reach of its shows to Disney's "passionate fan communities".
