JORN LANDE: ‘It’s Every Rock Singer’s Dream To Be Able To Work With Someone Like TONY IOMMI’
Norwegian singer Jørn Lande says working with Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi on Iommi’s upcoming solo album was a major opportunity and a careful collaborative effort. Their songs explore life’s difficulties and darkness, while also offering hope.
Lande co-wrote all eight tracks on *From The Dark*, due on 23 October through BMG. He described taking extra time to develop the music and lyrics, partly because English is not his first language, and said producer Mike Exeter sometimes helped refine phrases. Lande also praised the process as hands-on teamwork, with musicians composing together.
