JORN LANDE On Collaborating With TONY IOMMI On ‘From The Dark’: ‘I Went In With A Very Strong Desire To Give It My Very Best Effort’
Norwegian singer Jorn Lande has described approaching his collaboration with Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi on the forthcoming solo album “From The Dark” with a determination to give his best performance. He said the pair developed the music organically rather than following a preset style, with Iommi’s darker sound shaping the melodies and lyrics.
Lande co-wrote all eight main tracks on the album, alongside Iommi, drummer Karl Brazil and bassist Becky Baldwin. “From The Dark” will be released in deluxe vinyl and CD editions, including a 45rpm double LP in four colours and a 32-page CD media book with two bonus tracks; Lande had previously performed with Iommi at a 2010 Ronnie James Dio tribute concert in London.
