Josiah Queen’s ‘Damascus Road’ Debuts at No. 1 on Top Christian Albums

Josiah Queen’s *Damascus Road* debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart, giving the 23-year-old singer his third chart-topper. Its first-week performance matters because it is the strongest Christian album debut on the Billboard 200 this year and Queen has achieved No. 1 starts in three consecutive years.

The album earned 27,000 equivalent units from 23 to 29 October, opening at No. 4 on Americana/Folk Albums and No. 16 on the Billboard 200. It is Queen’s third studio album in three years, following *Mt. Zion* and *The Prodigal*, which also debuted at No. 1 on Top Christian Albums. Eight tracks from the new album enter Hot Christian Songs; “Demons” remains at No. 2 with 2.6 million streams and a radio audience of 3.2 million.
