JUDAS PRIEST: ‘The Early Years’ Interactive Scrapbook Takes You Back To The Band’s First Two Studio Albums

Blabbermouth ·

Exciter Records has launched an interactive Judas Priest scrapbook covering the band’s early years and the period around its first two studio albums, “Rocka Rolla” and “Sad Wings of Destiny”. The archive brings together photographs, videos and memorabilia, while also directing fans to anniversary editions of “Sad Wings of Destiny”, released 50 years after the album first appeared.

Originally issued in March 1976, “Sad Wings of Destiny” marked a key step in the band’s songwriting and sound, with tracks such as “Victim of Changes” and “The Ripper”. Two anniversary editions restore the band’s intended track order: one uses the original 1976 masters, and the other is a new mix from the original multitrack recordings. The original-master version began streaming on 2 October 2026, with physical editions available from 9 October; the remix is offered on double vinyl and CD.
