Developing story first seen 1 hour ago
Kacey Musgraves has announced a 16-track deluxe edition of her 2026 album, titled *Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2: Tex Mex Tapes*, continuing her exploration of Texas and the Mexican influence on its country music. She has previewed it with “Weekend in Texas” and a cover of Cornelio Reyna’s norteño classic “Mi Tesoro”.
The release is scheduled for 15 January 2027 and includes four Spanish-language tracks, including a Spanish version of “Uncertain, TX” with Intocable. Musgraves says the project explores solitude and contentment; its announcement comes as she finishes the 34-date US leg of her tour on 27 October, before dates in Australia and the UK in January.
