Harry Kane is an England striker who joined Bayern Munich, one of Germany’s leading football clubs, in 2023 after many years at Tottenham Hotspur. Bayern compete in the Bundesliga, Germany’s top division, and regularly play in European competitions.

A contract sets how long a player is employed by a club. Clubs may seek extensions to keep important players, while players consider factors such as their role, playing time and career plans. Transfer reports often discuss several clubs and players at once, but reported interest or negotiations do not always lead to a move.
